A careful selection of wines and producers

The selection of wines and producers for our site is the result of a careful selection process and many tastings (it’s a hard life…).

We choose quality wines which offer exceptional value for money, produced in limited numbers and in clearly identifiable terroirs by specific producers. All the Italian wines are DOC (denominazione d’origine controllata), and the French ones AOC (appellation d’origine contrôlée).

All the wines presented on our site are produced by independent producers who manage the entire production cycle themselves, from growing the vines and winemaking to bottling and labelling.

With very few exceptions, we have visited all the wineries. We hope that you too will have a chance to visit these estates: we know by experience that you will receive a warm welcome and enjoy your time there, not only in terms of the wines but also from the point of view of people, culture and landscape. Unfortunately for reasons of time and distance such visits are obviously not always possible, and this is why we invite you to get to know the producers by means of the short descriptions on the site and above all by tasting the result of their patient labours, the fruit of many years and often generations of experience.
